LITTLE BOY LEARNING TO WALK

ReachAnother Highlights Milestone in Multidisciplinary Care for Children With SBH
We are delighted to share the inspiring story of a courageous 6-year-old boy who has been bravely facing challenges with spinal bifida and hydrocephalus. Over the past several years, he has been receiving regular follow-up care at our hospital.
Today marks a significant milestone in his journey, as he had the opportunity to visit our MDT clinic for orthopedic and physiotherapy evaluation. With the proper physiotherapy and the support of a pediatrician crutch, there is a real possibility that he will gain enough strength to walk independently. This progress will not only bring joy to the child but also relieve the mother from carrying him.
Additionally, we’ve become aware of a common issue faced by many children with hydrocephalus – difficulty in supporting their head and neck. To address this, we want to inform parents about a specially designed hydrocephalus chair that can offer the needed support.
By coming together as a team and providing these comprehensive care solutions, we aim to prevent disabilities, enhance the quality of life for both the children and their families. Special thanks to Dr. Zerhun and the dedicated physiotherapy team for their collaboration and commitment to making a positive difference in these children’s lives.
